I am a psychological counselor and developmental psychologist with a track record in research, teaching, and therapy. My clinical background informs both my research and teaching. I draw upon the insights gained through therapeutic work with individuals and groups. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in therapeutic interventions over 20 years.
As a practitioner, I am interested in bringing the developmental aspect into clinical issues and advocate for a biopsychosocial model in research and clinical practice. As part of my research, I become a reliable Adult Attachment Interview (AAI) Coder and use the clinical implications of AAI in my clinical work. Prevention is the focus of my research and clinical interest. My readings in Attachment theory have led me to the skill acquisition programs. Thus, I have completed DBT intensive training and become a DBT therapist to equip individuals with effective skills to regulate their emotions based on empirical evidence. In my current practice, I offer DBT informed therapy. Currently, working primarily with adults for trauma, depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, and attachment issues. Below is the summary of my education and experience followed by a list of publications in academic journals.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) since 2011. I am also a chartered member of BPS and holding a chartered membership status CPsychol (BPS) since 2014.
